The Dangers of Second-Hand Smoke
|
Enclosed public places that used to permit smoking may have smelt unpleasant, but more importantly they posed a very real threat to health.
At least 1000 people in the U.K. die each year as a result of exposure to Second-Hand Smoke (SHS).
Even a low level exposure to SHS can trigger:
• Asthma attacks
• Eye & throat irritation
• Irregular heart beats
• Breathing problems
• Headaches
• Increase in allergic responses
